On a 12" (or 10") Milling Attachment, you can replace the vise with the 6"x6" table from the Atlas X-Y drill press table. But on the 6", that isn't an option.

Dec 21, 2013· On the Atlas lathe, the compound is removed, and the milling attachment fits over the dovetail on the cross-slide.It is locked to the cross-slide with two angled pins. The Logan lathe doesn't have the same type dovetail on the cross-slide, so I'm going to have to make some sort of adapter for it.

Jan 27, 2013· Although I have a mill, I came across an inexpensive Atlas milling attachment and bought it for my 11" Logan for basically the same reason. I had to make the necessary plug to attach it to the cross slide, but otherwise the 10"-12" is an excellent fit on my lathe (which has a height from the cross slide, with the compound removed, to the centerline of the spindle 3").

I bought the 6" milling attachment when I broke the guide wheel casting on the Craftsman bandsaw I inherited from my father. While I was able to machine a suitable replacement, the experience was so frustrating that I went out and bought a Grizzly knee mill. I love it. I sold the milling attachment on eBay.
